Leeds: Going into a nervy season finish

Hi everyone,

we got to May 2014. We are 2nd and have 3 games left and a Champions Cup Final against Manchester United.

April was a tough month for us. We had a lot of games and our performances varied a lot. Fortunately, we got through it and we have a shot at the Champions League title and our league position can not be less than 4th, which we were last year.

Matches:

Champions League:

We had to face Real Madrid in CL Quarter Final. I expected a tough game, but we won easily.

Real Madrid picked themselves up for the second leg. They had 2-0 at HT and I already saw them going to Semi Finals. Fortunately, my team responded well to a HT talk and almost scored in the second half.

There were some bad news too. Hazard was injured for 4-5 weeks.

We had to face Arsenal in the Semi Final. I was confident of winning at home but I couldn’t predict something like this.

I was confident of going to the Final so there were couple of bench players in the starting eleven. We managed to draw.

As you can see, there was an all-English CL Semi Final.

We have to face a strong Man Utd side in the finals. I hope we will win.

EPL:

There was a fun match against Liverpool. We had 4-0 at HT. This reminded me of 2005 CL Final between AC Milan and Liverpool.

Currently, we are 2nd and we can go both up and down but I think we will stay at the same spot. This is what I expected so I’m satisfied.

I just hope, Hazard comes back for the season finish.

Reputation:

Vitaliy asked about Leeds reputation. I can say it’s pretty high. Clearly, club history played a part in this.
